The 56-year-old Frenchman Kevin Mirallas Trikot , who worked closely with Blatter between 2002 and 2005 when he was deputy secretary-general, said on Twitter he had sent a letter to FIFA headquarters in Switzerland that he would be a candidate.
Champagne had said in January that he did not think he could beat 77-year-old Blatter, who has been in charge since 1998, if he ran but he had a chance if UEFA chief Michel Platini was a candidate. A former diplomat who worked on France’s successful bid for the right to host the 1998 World Cup before joining FIFA as an international advisor Eden Hazard Trikot , Champagne said he was delighted that a debate had begun about the future of FIFA and football and hoped more candidates would throw their hat into the ring.
“I have the honor of informing you that I have just written to the FIFA Ad-hoc Electoral Committee and its president, Mr. Domenico Scala, to confirm my intention to run for FIFA president,” said Champagne in a letter to football federations. “On a personal level Romelu Lukaku Trikot , I am happy that the debate about the future of FIFA and football has finally begun with the prospect of various candidates.”
The election will be held in May at the FIFA Congress.

SEOUL, July 1 (Xinhua) -- South Korea's exports rose 13.7 percent from a year earlier to 51.4 billion U.S. dollars in June, a government report showed Saturday.
The exports, which account for about half of the export-driven economy Youri Tielemans Trikot , kept an upward momentum for the eighth consecutive month, according to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
The overseas shipments also posted a double-digit expansion for six months in a row since January this year.
Imports advanced 18 percent over the year to 40 billion dollars in June, sending last month's trade surplus to 11.4 billion dollars. The trade balance stayed in black for 65 straight months.
During the January-June period Kevin De Bruyne Trikot , exports reached 279.4 billion dollars, up 15.8 percent compared with the same period of last year. It was the biggest figure since the second half of 2014 when the exports recorded 289.5 billion dollars.
