PUBG Mobile is not only the most popular mobile game in the world, with more than 100 million monthly players, it’s now also the top grossing: collecting more than $146 million last month in revenue according to analyst figures reported by The Financial Times. The money comes not only from items and skins bought by players in PUBG Mobile (which was adapted from the South Korean PC original by Chinese tech giant Tencent), but also from money spent in the game’s China-only rebrand, Game For Peace.
Chinese group, Tencent’s core business is improving as a revenue of $146m was reported in May 2019. The Financial Times reports analyst figures which suggest that PUBG Mobile generated over $146 million in revenue just last month. The figure is considerably higher than the $125 million in revenue generated by Honor of Kings during that same period.
The game has more than 100 million monthly players, and collected more than $146 million USD (roughly $193 million CAD) last month, making it also the top-grossing mobile game, according to The Financial Times.
